If you answered “Yes!” to any of the above questions our zoom classes may be just the answer. I started teaching these classes during Covid. As my patients were stuck at home unable to come to PT, I knew that I needed to come up with a class that will serve people with injuries. I needed a class that was gentle enough so that all of my patients could do it without causing themselves more pain, yet it had to be challenging enough so that they would get stronger. The class had to fit everyone, people who have knee issues, back pain, shoulder pain and neck pain - everyone was to benefit from taking it.
So I did, I came up with a class that fits and benefits everyone. I created a combination of exercises from different schools of movement: Physical Therapy, Pilates and Somatics.
The classes are one hour and are done on the floor. We learn how to move by using the core. The truth is most pain is caused by muscular imbalances created from faulty movement patterns and bad posture. When there is pain, we start compensating and come up with a whole different set of movement patterns which then becomes our new normal… and we get stuck in a cycle of pain and compensation.
Mechanically, we stop moving from our center and move from the periphery. You probably heard people talk about core strengthening. Why is that important? It’s not just about the six pack of abs. It is about relearning the correct initiation of movement, which comes from the core. And when that happens there is no pain. Joseph Pilates called this alignment “neutral spine”. When a person is in their “neutral” there is no pain. We experience pain, because we are not in alignment. These classes will teach you how to find your neutral spine, how to find your alignment and how to recreate a pain free, easy movement that we all used to experience as children… yet somehow we forgot all about it.
So put down your mat, grab a pillow and let’s get started.
The classes are taught on Mondays and Thursdays 10:15- 11:15 MDT (Colorado time). All you need to do is register below. If you are unable to make it to a live class, the recording will be emailed to you.

Healthy Knees And Hips
Every Monday from 10:15 - 11:15 pm MDT

This is a 60 minute group physical therapy class designed for people who have achy hips and/or knees.
This class is perfect for people who refuse to lose their mobility and independence and are tired of relying on pain pills because of knee or hip pain.
You will learn simple exercises that will strengthen your joints and improve your stamina.
You will discover the correct, pain free way to get up from the chair, walk, do stairs and perform your favorite sporting activities.
I will teach you the reasons why your knees and hips hurt and my favorite easy to do home remedies.
And the best part is.... you get to enjoy activities you love despite old injuries!

The Joy of Movement brings together group physical therapy, Pilates and Somatic Movement.
The class is designed to work out the kinks in the body and leave you feeling energized, light and feeling more comfortable.
You will discover where your tension is coming from and what your body is doing to find relief.
You will learn how tuning into your breath and moving from your core will improve your posture, decrease your pain
and help you discover the joy of simple, pain free movement... the kind that kids have... the kind that we have somehow lost.
